Cranky Pants

Soooo...I forgot what teething was like since it has been awhile since Pres has had any teeth come in. My what a fuss these two small little teeth have caused. 4th of July weekend started out with a trip to the park to go play and feed the ducks. Let just say that Presley was hot, but I was dripping sweat within 20 minutes. She loved feeding the ducks and really wanted to hold the squirrels. Presley had a hard time understanding why I was feeding the ducks the food instead of her, and multiple times, she tried to shove the old bread in her mouth before I could grab it to throw to the ducks. She finally figured it out and wanted to feed the ducks everything, even the plastic sack that the bread came wrapped in. We moved our way on to my mother-in-laws neighbors pool where I finally spent so MUCH needed time in the sun. It was bliss!! I forgot how nice it is to just sit and do nothing but relax. Unfortunately, that's when the throwing up started. Not all babies urp from dranage/teething, but mine does. She tried so hard to be good, but she had no appetite the whole weekend and wore herself out because of all the family festivities. She hasn't wanted to go to bed until 9 0r 10 which is VERY weird for Presley. She is so much like her momma, she LOVES to sleep. It has finally hit her today, after fun with the Tur's and sidewalk chalk, that she was just done and tired! She crashed at 7 P.M. all upset and fussy. I didn't hear one peep as she latched on to baby bear and cuddled up in her bed. Guess it was a pretty fun filled weekend after all.

Cheeto Monster

I have decided that Cheetos are addicting. I think that it runs in my family because my mother loves them, I love them, and as you can see, Presley loves them. I managed to snap some great photo's of the little Cheeto eater herself. If only we all had such enthusiasm over life!

Sneaking a Cheeto out of the bag after mommy got home with the groceries.

I'm busted! Better grab a quick handful!

Mommy said if I'm going to eat Cheetos, I must sit in my highchair. They can get rather messy!

Oooh! These are good! Really good!

Need I say more?

I CRAZY ABOUT CHEETOS!

Welcome to My World

Wow! I'm finally joining the blogging world. I decided to join for two reasons. I love being able to write things down and print them out for future memories. Blogging is very good for me since I'm not the best at keeping up with everything on time, and I am on the computer practically all day long. I also want to use this blog as an honest look into the life of a full-time working mother. You have to give and take a lot of things as a working mother to balance your work life and your family life. It has been hard somtimes for me because I wish that I could be with Presley 24/7, but thankfully, I have a great mother-in-law that has helped me to not miss out on many of those special memories. It has also taught me that I can't control every situation, and that every situation happens for a reason. God will take care of you if you let him.

Mitchell and I met January 13, 2007. I wasn't sure what to think of him at first except that there was something very special about him that I couldn't put my finger on, and that he was persistant on dating me. Well persistance pays off. I met the love of my life. We were engaged in 5 months, had Presley Rose in November, and married the next May in 2008. Talk about whirlwind! Life gave us a lot in a very short period of time, but it has shown us how much we truly love and care about each other. I feel like God has truly blessed us. So with that being said, sit back, relax, and welcome to my world.

BEWARE: The following contains A LOT of pictures over the past 2 1/2 years. A mother can't help but post a million pictures of her child.

Mitchell and I at Kim and Jake Barnhart's Wedding in Gaillardia soon after we were engaged.

Yet another wedding we attended for the Ferrill's.

We have so much fun together!

This is my wonderful husband Mitchell. Isn't he handsome?

Here I am 8 Month's Pregnant with Presley Rose

Halloween 2007, 3 weeks before Presley arrived. We dressed up as goth dolls. Turned out pretty cute!

This is one of my favorite Halloween pictures with the Star Wars Robots. If only Chewbacca and R2D2 were there.
Presley Rose's arrival @ 3:43 A.M on November 21, 2007. She was so tiny at 6 lbs. 18 inches.

I finally got to hold her for the first time. What an amazing feeling.

Here I am looking at my angel baby after she was dressed. Thank You Roxy for taking such wonderful, memorable pictures.

Crying like a little lamb. Her newborn cry sounded exactly like a little lamb for months. It was so sweet.

Lana Thomas took Presley's newborn pictures for me. She did such a beautiful job. Here are a few of my favorites.

I can't quite think of a title for this picture. Any ideas? This one cracks me up.

The next few pictures are of Presley and over the holidays. She was 1-6 months in this time frame.
She will always be my bald little angel baby.

Takin' her kisses. You can tell how much she loved them!

Whatchu talkin' bout Willis?

Cousin Lucas and I. We are going to be double trouble someday! Lucas loved to call Presley "Happy Nose" instead of Presley Rose.

Excited with Aunt Roxy

Presley learning to walk with Mimi. As you can tell Presley is very excited about this. She was just shrieking down the hall with excitement. That girl does NOT have a quiet voice.

6 Months and pushin' up very well!

Easter 2008. 5 Months Old.

The Vik-Courter Wedding- May 15, 2008 in Puerto Morales, Mexico. We had our wedding at the Azul Beach Resort which was absolutely beautiful. What a memorable day for us!

It was so great to have almost all of our family there. Even my bestemor from Norway came!

Nathan, the best man, and Mitchell's sister's Jill and Leslie with our wedding flowers. They were stunning!

Mr. and Mrs. James Courter

Rosie Posie A.K.A. Presley Rose ,9 months old. Meet "baby" her bear. This thing is looking pretty raggedy. He gets washed regularly due to slobber, Charley (our 50 lb. Irish Setter puppy) slobber, vomit, poo, you name it. It doesn't even phase me anymore. I need to find a replacement and fast because this bear isn't going to last much longer and she is very attached!!

Presley's 1 year pictures went awesome. Chelsea Beck photography did a great job with Presley even though the poor child was freezing to death and got rather fussy. I was so scared that we wouldn't get any good pictures, but I was pleasantly surprised! They turned out wonderful. I'm pretty sure her cold soon after was a result of mommy not properly dressing her thanks to the coldfront. Here are a few of my favorites.

Christmas Pictures 2008 as taken by Chelsea Beck Photography.

Our 1st Anniversary. We went to eat at an amazing Steakhouse called the Coach House here in OKC. Incredible Steak! Unfortunately, we didn't get many pictures because most of our pictures saved on the camera's main memory not the memory card. Does anyone know how to get these off the camera with out just losing them. Mitchell is so wonderful to me and we had such a great time.

Of course, I have to post more pictures of Presley. It seems that she is all I take pictures of these days!

Our family. Presley is 18 Months old and very, very busy.

Isn't she just cute enough to eat? I think so.
